Montenegrin tourists' statistics for September turned out to be higher than expected
In total, 129,7 thousand people entered the country as tourists. In total, the country spent 557.48 thousand nights, reports Montstat. This is an average of 4 nights per person.
Most visitors were from Russia - almost 21.7% spent nights. The second place is occupied by Serbians with their 10.3%. French go next – 7.9% on vacation in the velvet season. The fourth, fifth and sixth places are occupied by Polish, Germans and the Brits with an average of 5.5%. The rating gets closed with Bosniaks - 3.5% and the Czechs - 2.9%.
The majority of tourists registered accommodation on the coast of the country - moreover, more than half of tourists chose the Budva Riviera.
In Montenegro, guests of the country are necessarily registered at the place of residence by the owners and receive special cards that they have to return at the border when they leave the country. Such a transparent and simple system allows to realistically estimate the number of tourists, as well as the geography of tourist destinations.
