iPhone Index: Where Apple Smartphones Are Most and Least Expensive
On October 1, 2026, iPhone Prices Info updated its international ranking of Apple smartphone prices. The study covered 41 countries and used the iPhone 18 Pro with 256 GB of storage for comparison. Prices in local currencies were converted into US dollars to identify the most and least expensive markets.
Where Apple Smartphones Are Cheapest
The lowest price for the iPhone 18 Pro was recorded in the United States at $1,199. Canada ranked second at $1,231, while Malaysia came third at $1,348. The UAE, where the device costs $1,388, and Japan at $1,397 also made the top five most affordable markets.
Next came Taiwan at $1,407, Switzerland at $1,436 and New Zealand at $1,437. The model costs $1,456 in Thailand, $1,459 in Australia and $1,468 in South Korea. The gap between most countries in this group is only a few dozen dollars.
Singapore, China, Vietnam and the Philippines are also among the relatively affordable markets. Prices there range from $1,486 to $1,514. As a result, many of the countries with the lowest prices are concentrated in Asia and the Asia-Pacific region.

Where the iPhone 18 Pro Is Most Expensive
Turkey is the most expensive market in the ranking. The 256 GB iPhone 18 Pro costs 137,999 lira there, equivalent to $2,814 at the exchange rate on October 1. This is the highest figure among all 41 countries included in the study.
Brazil ranks second, with the model priced at $2,307. Russia follows at $2,091 and Pakistan at $2,036. This means the price exceeds $2,000 in four countries, while the gap between Turkey and Brazil alone is more than $500.
Egypt rounds out the five most expensive markets at $1,924. Even there, the smartphone costs $725 more than in the United States, where the lowest price in the ranking was recorded at $1,199. The difference between the two extremes reaches $1,615.

How Much the iPhone 18 Pro Costs in Other Countries
Outside the highest and lowest ends of the ranking, the price gap narrows considerably. In most markets, the 256 GB iPhone 18 Pro costs between $1,500 and $1,700, so differences between countries are measured in tens or hundreds rather than thousands of dollars.
Vietnam, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia are near the lower end of this range, with prices from $1,504 to $1,520. In the United Kingdom, the price rises to $1,591, while in Poland it reaches $1,636.
Across much of Western Europe, prices range from $1,640 to $1,680. The smartphone costs $1,643 in Germany and Austria, $1,666 in Spain, and $1,677 in France, the Netherlands and Belgium.
Italy and Ireland are near the upper end of this group at $1,689, while Portugal stands at $1,700. Prices are slightly higher in Colombia, Finland and India, ranging from $1,709 to $1,718.

Why iPhone Prices Differ
The final cost of an iPhone is influenced by taxes, import duties and exchange rates. Comparison conditions also vary by market: in some countries smartphones are sold directly through Apple Store, while in others the ranking relies on offers from authorized resellers or major local retailers.
In the United States and Canada, sales tax is not included in the listed price and is added at checkout. The rate depends on the state or province and, according to iPhone Prices Info, may reach 15%. In Europe, the UK, Japan, Australia and most other countries, VAT or a similar tax is already included in the retail price.
For international comparison, prices in local currencies were converted into US dollars using market exchange rates as of October 1, 2026. The figures may therefore change as currencies fluctuate. The service also notes that bank exchange rates and fees for purchases abroad may differ from those used in the ranking.
Another factor is the source of pricing data. Where Apple operates an official online store, the ranking uses the manufacturer’s prices. In markets without an Apple Store, reseller offers are used, so these figures are not always fully comparable with Apple’s official retail prices.
