Quality of Life in 2025: CEOWORLD’s Global Ranking of Best and Worst Countries

CEOWORLD Magazine has published its 2025 Quality of Life rankings, evaluating 196 countries based on factors such as economic stability, healthcare, infrastructure, education, civil liberties, and environmental sustainability. The rankings are derived from the Human Progress Index (HPI), which assesses countries across three main categories: stability, satisfaction, and balance.

These countries excel in providing their citizens with high standards of living, robust healthcare systems, and strong educational infrastructures.

Notable Positions

United States ranks 21st with an HPI score of 93.07, reflecting its strong economy and diverse opportunities.

Qatar holds the 8th position globally and is ranked 1st in the Arab world, highlighting its significant investments in infrastructure and public services.

Kazakhstan is positioned at 70th, leading in Central Asia with a score of 79.32.

Russia stands at 59th with a score of 81.84, indicating areas for improvement in various sectors.

Methodology Overview

The HPI evaluates countries based on:

Stability: Economic growth, taxation, life expectancy, income, and living conditions.

Satisfaction: Safety, happiness levels, governance quality, corruption perception, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and transportation.

Balance: Human rights, civil liberties, political rights, work-life balance, gender equality, environmental care, and freedom of religion.

Each category is equally weighted, and data is normalized on a scale from 1 to 100. Sources include the World Economic Forum, Transparency International, World Bank, UNDP, and others.

Global Insights
The 2025 rankings underscore the prominence of European nations in providing high-quality living standards. However, countries in Asia and the Middle East, like Singapore and Qatar, demonstrate that strategic investments in public services and infrastructure can yield significant improvements in quality of life.
