Grenada Introduces Citizenship by Invitation Program

Grenada has launched a new citizenship initiative designed for billionaires from the Forbes list and other high-net-worth individuals. This exclusive “Citizenship by Invitation” (CBI) program allows selected investors to become Grenadian citizens and actively participate in the country’s development by serving as advisors to the Prime Minister, according to Now Grenada.
The Grenada Investment Migration Agency (IMA Grenada) has partnered with Arton Capital and Forbes Global Talent to launch this exclusive invitation-only citizenship program. The goal is to attract ultra-high-net-worth individuals who can contribute both capital and expertise to accelerate Grenada’s economic growth.
Key Benefits of Grenada’s Citizenship by Invitation
- Fast-track citizenship in 3-4 months
- Exclusive privileges and access to elite opportunities
- Residency in one of the world's most beautiful destinations
- Advisory role to the Prime Minister, providing input on economic matters
However, the program does not grant a diplomatic passport, and the advisory role is not considered an official government appointment.
Grenada’s CBI Program Performance
In 2024, Grenada generated nearly €500 million through 5,443 new passports issued under the standard CBI program.
Since its launch in 2014, the program has naturalized over 15,000 people.
More than half of all applicants obtained Grenadian citizenship between July 2022 and December 2024.
The Citizenship by Invitation program was officially unveiled on December 5, 2024, at the Arton Capital Global Citizen Forum in Dubai.
Thomas Anthony, CEO of IMA Grenada, endorsed the initiative, stating that it will help Grenada reach new economic milestones.
All applicants will undergo rigorous due diligence before approval.
During the launch, Armand Arton, Founder & President of Arton Capital, highlighted the impact ultra-high-net-worth individuals can have on national economies:
"I can think of Elon Musk, who wants to make America great again and contribute to it," he said. "Many others, for far less than $20 million, can have this opportunity right here in Grenada."
Diversifying the CBI Market
Grenada aims to diversify the origins of its CBI applicants.
In 2024, most investors came from China, Nigeria, Ukraine, and the U.S.
Through its collaboration with Forbes Global Talent, Grenada plans to attract elite professionals from key global markets.
The My Grenada Solutions website emphasizes that the island offers freedom of speech, movement, and religion.
Successful applicants will gain not only a Grenadian passport but also "a more fulfilling life."
Standard Grenada CBI Program
For those not invited to the Citizenship by Invitation program, Grenada’s regular CBI program offers two investment options:
$235,000 – Contribution to the National Transformation Fund
$270,000 – Investment in real estate
Applicants can include spouses, children (under 30), parents, grandparents, and siblings. The entire process can be completed remotely.
Visa-Free Travel & Tax Benefits
Grenadian citizens enjoy visa-free access to over 130 countries, including:
The EU, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong
10-year U.S. non-immigrant visas are typically granted with ease
No global income, inheritance, or gift taxes
Restrictions on Russian & Belarusian Applicants
Grenada suspended CBI applications from Russian and Belarusian nationals in 2022, later reaffirming the ban in 2023.
In Spring 2024, IMA Grenada confirmed that the ban remains in effect.
Additionally, applicants from Afghanistan, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Yemen face restrictions, but some exceptions apply.
