The World’s Best Hospitals in 2025

Choosing a hospital is a critical step for patients and their loved ones, especially when facing a severe diagnosis or emergency. Newsweek magazine and analytics platform Statista have published the updated World’s Best Hospitals 2025 ranking. The study included over 2,400 institutions, with a published list of the world’s top 250 medical centers.

Methodology and Countries

The ranking was based on a multi-level methodology. Doctors, hospital executives, and other healthcare professionals evaluated institutions both in their own countries and abroad. In addition, patient surveys were analyzed to assess the effectiveness of care not only in clinical terms but also in terms of quality of life.

Among the leading institutions are hospitals from 30 countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, as well as:

Canada, Chile, Colombia;

Denmark, Finland, France;

Germany, India, Israel;

Italy, Japan, Malaysia;

Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway;

Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea;

Spain, Sweden, Switzerland;

Taiwan, Thailand, the UAE;

the United Kingdom, and the United States.

These countries were chosen based on a variety of comparable factors, such as life expectancy, population size, number of hospitals, and availability of data.
