Cipriani Batumi: Italian Luxury Hospitality Brand Enters Georgia

A 100-room premium hotel complex, private residences, residential apartments, world-class spa and wellness centres, as well as leisure and entertainment venues — Cipriani Batumi represents a new milestone in the Batumi real estate market.

The development project is being jointly delivered by ORBI Group and BLOCK Group.

Global football legend Ronaldinho has become the primary celebrity ambassador and first honorary resident of the Cipriani Batumi project, acquiring its inaugural exclusive apartment.

The event attendees were addressed with welcoming speeches by the Prime Minister of Georgia, the Chairman of the Government of Adjara, head of Cipriani Giuseppe Cipriani, CEO of ORBI Group Irakli Kvergelidze, and Managing Partner of BLOCK Group Tornike Janashvili.

“The arrival of a brand of such calibre sets a new benchmark for the growth of the hospitality industry and premium real estate,” the Prime Minister of Georgia stated at the project launch.

“Today, we are jointly breaking ground on an elite residential and hotel development — Cipriani Batumi. It is safe to say that this is a breakthrough in our nation’s hospitality sector. We all know this brand carries a century-long legacy, established in Venice in 1931, which is now present across 19 world cities thanks to its flawless service standards. I am delighted that alongside New York, London, Monte Carlo, Dubai, Miami, and other metropolises, this world-class brand is now arriving in Batumi.

We take pride in demonstrating the fastest economic growth in Europe. Our average economic expansion rate over these five years stands at 9.3%, and that figure speaks for itself. Naturally, developments of this scale will drive further expansion and growth across our economy,” Irakli Kobakhidze noted.

“Batumi being placed in Cipriani's focus alongside the world's leading metropolises will further strengthen our city's positioning. Globally, this brand is associated with the highest standards of service and success. Today, this Italian expertise arrives in Adjara, bringing a new, distinctive character to Batumi.

The choice of Batumi for this project is no coincidence. The growing recognition and development of our region are vital factors for investors. Strong coordination between business and government is a key component of this success, and today is a clear testament to that,” stated Chairman of the Government of Adjara Zurab Pataradze.

“Cipriani Batumi will become a comprehensive destination combining high-end residences, a hotel, restaurants, a spa, and leisure facilities. Ronaldinho acquiring the first residence is a public vote of confidence, showing that Batumi and Georgia are ready for projects of this calibre. Today, we begin a new chapter,” noted Tornike Janashvili, Managing Partner of BLOCK Group.

“Against the backdrop of current challenges and the international crisis, celebrating the launch of the Cipriani project in Batumi today is truly a major achievement for our country,” noted the founder of ORBI Group.

“Georgia has taken on the role of an oasis in this complex geopolitical struggle, where development remains the top priority,” emphasized Irakli Kvergelidze during the project presentation.

Cipriani is a world-renowned Italian hospitality and luxury lifestyle brand founded by Giuseppe Cipriani in Venice in 1931. The brand operates internationally, managing world-class restaurants, private members' clubs, hotels, and luxury residential complexes across the world's major metropolises.
